Teresa Goff Teaching

Teaching and learning are equally important parts of my working life. As a radio producer and writer, I am always learning and this has  in turn brought me to teaching. In order to teach something, you must know the topic in depth. It is also essential to understand your own process of learning.  As a writer and documentarian, revisiting my process is invaluable.

I have taught workshops to community and campus radio stations, initiated then developed and taught a weeklong a radio project with CBC's Outfront and the First Nations youth of Alert Bay, brainstormed breakout sessions for the Millennium Scholarship Foundation, mentored university students and taught at the college level.

This slideshow is compiled from workshops I have taught as well as classes at Durham College for the School of Media, Art & Design. I teach in the Journalism Department and the material here is from Critical & Opinion Writing, Web Publishing and Web Writing from the 2013-2014 school year. I have also included a few slides from my work with the Project Innovation Fund, in which I supported the Office Administration program and the Communication courses from the School of Interdisciplinary Studies to transition from face-to-face to hybrid and online course delivery.
